Join Dell Rewards Before Shopping
Dell Rewards is free to join and currently provides a base reward of 3% back on many qualifying Dell purchases. Members can also receive higher reward rates during selected promotions and free expedited delivery on eligible products.
Rewards are used toward future qualifying Dell.com purchases and expire at the end of the sixth month following the month in which they were earned. Dell Outlet purchases do not earn Rewards.
Compare the Exact PC Configuration
A Dell laptop or desktop name can cover several processors, graphics options, memory amounts, storage capacities, and displays. Two systems with nearly identical names can therefore have very different prices and performance.
The processor, RAM, SSD, GPU, display, ports, operating system, and warranty should be compared before deciding which configuration offers better value.
Check Dell Deals Before Customizing
Dell often discounts specific preconfigured PCs more heavily than similar custom builds. A ready-to-ship system with extra memory or storage can sometimes cost less than upgrading a cheaper configuration manually.
Current coupons and automatic discounts should also be tested on the exact configuration because exclusions can apply to selected PCs, monitors, accessories, and limited-quantity offers.

Compare Price Match With Coupons and Rewards
Dell can match qualifying lower online prices on eligible products before purchase. The competing product must meet Dell's price-match requirements, and marketplace sellers, clearance, flash sales, bundles, and other restricted offers can be excluded.
A price-matched purchase may not qualify for the same coupons or member discounts, so the matched price should be compared with the regular Dell promotion plus any Rewards that would be earned.
Recheck the Dell Price for 30 Days
Dell's Price Guarantee can refund the difference when the same eligible Dell product drops to a qualifying lower Dell.com price within 30 days of the invoice date.
Not every later promotion qualifies, so the lower price must meet the current guarantee terms when the request is made.
Compare Dell Outlet With a New System
Dell Outlet sells certified refurbished and other discounted laptops, desktops, monitors, and workstations. Outlet systems include free shipping and generally carry the same standard limited hardware warranty and service offered with new Dell systems.
Eligible Outlet purchases also have a 30-day return period, but they do not earn or redeem Dell Rewards. A discounted new system should therefore be compared with the Outlet price before assuming refurbished is cheaper.
Check Verified Member Discounts
Dell currently offers additional discounts to eligible students, teachers, military members, healthcare workers, first responders, employees of participating companies, seniors, and selected organization members after verification.
Current student and teacher offers provide up to 10% off eligible products, while other verified programs can have similar savings. Product exclusions and combination rules apply.
Use Free Shipping and Test the PC Early
Dell provides free standard delivery on qualifying Dell.com purchases with no minimum order. Most eligible purchases also have a 30-day return window measured from the invoice date.
Laptops, desktops, and monitors should be set up soon after delivery so the display, battery, ports, storage, keyboard, Wi-Fi, and other important features can be checked while the return period is still open.
