Encore is Gap's free rewards program across Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Athleta, and participating Factory stores. Core and Premier members earn five points for each eligible dollar spent, and every 500 points can be redeemed for $1 in Rewards.
Signing in before ordering also unlocks member benefits such as free shipping thresholds, GapCash access, birthday offers, and available Rewards.
Understand How GapCash Works
GapCash runs during limited earning and redemption periods. Members earn a GapCash coupon from a qualifying purchase and redeem it later when the next redemption window opens.
The amount saved depends on the qualifying merchandise total during redemption. GapCash cannot be combined with other coupons or promotional discounts, but eligible Encore Rewards can be applied with it.
Compare GapCash With the Current Sale
A GapCash coupon is not automatically the best promotion. Gap frequently runs percentage-off codes and automatic sale pricing, so the same cart should be compared with the strongest current offer before checkout.
GapCash is most useful when a planned purchase already meets the redemption threshold. Spending more simply to reach the next discount level can erase part of the savings.
Check Sale, Clearance, and Gap Factory
Gap sale and clearance sections can offer lower prices on denim, sweaters, activewear, baby clothing, kids' basics, and seasonal styles. Final prices and eligible promotions can differ even between similar products.
Gap Factory has its own merchandise, pricing, and promotions, making it another option for everyday basics. GapCash can be earned and redeemed at participating Gap and Gap Factory locations during eligible periods.

Use Free Shipping or Store Pickup
Core and Premier Encore members receive free eligible shipping on orders of $50 or more after discounts and before taxes. All-Access cardmembers can receive free standard shipping from $35 when the qualifying Encore Credit Card is used.
Free in-store pickup is another option at participating Gap locations. Most eligible pickup orders are ready within about two hours and are held for five days after the ready-for-pickup notification.
Check for a Price Drop Within 14 Days
Gap allows a one-time price adjustment when an eligible item drops in price within 14 days of the original order date. Final Sale merchandise and items purchased with most promotional codes or other discounts do not qualify.
Online price adjustments must be requested through Gap rather than processed at a store, so keeping the order number makes it easier to check a recent purchase.
