JCPenney participates in Catalyst Brands Rewards Access, a free loyalty program shared with Aéropostale. Members earn points on eligible purchases, and every 200 points earns a $10 CashPass Reward.
Signing in before shopping helps make sure eligible online purchases earn points. In stores, the phone number or email address connected to the Rewards account can be provided at checkout.
Combine CashPass With an Eligible Coupon
JCPenney CashPass Rewards can be combined with eligible coupons, and multiple earned CashPass Rewards can be used on qualifying purchases. Online orders allow one promotional coupon and one shipping coupon, with Rewards handled separately.
Every coupon and CashPass has its own exclusions, so the pricing summary should be checked before the order is submitted.
Check Coupon Exclusions Before Choosing a Deal
JCPenney coupons commonly exclude selected brands, athletic shoes, electronics, toys, gift cards, services, clearance, and certain limited-time pricing events. The exact exclusions depend on the promotion.
A sale price can still be a better deal than a coupon-eligible item, so comparing the final dollar price is more useful than relying on the advertised percentage alone.
Compare Clearance With Current Sale Prices
JCPenney uses clearance for permanent markdowns on merchandise that will not return to its original price. Apparel, shoes, bedding, bath, jewelry, and seasonal products can all appear in clearance.
Clearance is not automatically the lowest option because many clearance items are excluded from coupons. A regular sale item that qualifies for CashPass or another promotion may sometimes cost less.

Use Free Pickup Before Paying for Shipping
Eligible online orders can use free Same-Day Pickup when the item is available at the selected store. JCPenney says these orders are typically ready within two hours and are held for 10 days after they are ready.
Items that are not available locally can be shipped to a JCPenney store for free on orders over $25. Standard home delivery is currently free on eligible orders of $49 or more.
Use the Lowest Price Guarantee
JCPenney can match a current advertised price from another retailer when the product is identical and available. Eligible prices sold directly by Amazon.com can qualify, while marketplace sellers, auctions, clearance, closeout, rebates, and loyalty-card pricing are excluded.
If a qualifying lower competitor price is found after purchase, the difference can still be requested within 14 days while the advertised price remains active. JCPenney also offers a one-time in-store sales adjustment within 14 days when its own eligible price drops.
Check Credit Card Rewards for Frequent Shopping
JCPenney credit cardholders currently earn 1.5 CashPass points per eligible dollar on qualifying JCPenney purchases, compared with the standard member earning rate. Higher Rewards Access tiers can provide additional benefits for frequent shoppers.
