2. Use Rewards-Issued Kohl’s Cash Before It Expires
Kohl’s Cash generated through the Rewards program currently has a 30-day redemption window. Any Rewards balance that is too small to convert into a $5 certificate can remain in the account, but unconverted balances can eventually expire.
Check your Wallet before buying clothing, shoes, bedding, kitchen products, or household basics. A future reward provides no savings when it sits unused past its expiration date.
3. Understand Promotional Kohl’s Cash Separately
During advertised earning periods, Kohl’s commonly offers $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent on qualifying merchandise in a single transaction. This promotional Kohl’s Cash is earned in addition to regular Kohl’s Rewards.
The qualifying total is calculated after applicable coupons and discounts and before tax. Check the exact earn and redemption dates because promotional Kohl’s Cash cannot be used whenever you choose.
4. Do Not Spend Extra Just to Reach the Next $50
If your planned order is $78, spending another $22 solely to earn another $10 certificate usually does not create a real saving. Cross the next threshold only when the additional merchandise was already on your list.

13. Wait for the Ready-for-Pickup Email
Eligible Free Store Pickup orders are generally processed within about two hours when placed early enough before closing. The order is held for seven days after purchase.
Wait for confirmation before traveling to the store. If the order is not collected during the pickup window, it is canceled and refunded, which can also affect attached Rewards or Kohl’s Cash.
14. Compare Price Match with Your Coupons
Kohl’s can price match qualifying competitor prices and Kohls.com prices under its current policy. In stores, competitor matching generally requires an identical item and a current local advertisement, while qualifying online price matches have separate verification rules.
Coupons and percentage-off or dollar-off discounts cannot be applied to a price-matched product. Kohl’s Cash and Kohl’s Rewards, however, can still be earned and redeemed on qualifying price-matched merchandise.
15. Recheck Eligible Purchases for Two Weeks
Kohl’s currently allows price adjustments when the regular or sale price of an eligible product drops within two weeks of the original purchase. Store purchases must be adjusted in a store, while online purchases are handled through Customer Service.
Clearance markdowns, BOGO products, Kohl’s Cares merchandise, and selected promotional periods are excluded. A coupon used on the original purchase must still be valid if it is needed as part of the adjustment.
16. Use the Senior Discount When Eligible
Customers age 60 or older currently receive 15% off qualifying in-store purchases every Wednesday after showing identification. The offer is limited to one per customer.
Kohl’s Cash and other dollar-off discounts are applied before the senior percentage discount. The offer cannot be combined with another percentage-off coupon, so compare which percentage provides the better result.
17. Check the Monday Military Discount When Eligible
Active military members, veterans, retirees, and immediate family members currently receive 15% off qualifying in-store purchases on Mondays. Proper military or veteran identification is required.
The military discount follows the same general coupon exclusions and cannot be combined with another percentage-off coupon. Kohl’s Cash can still be applied first when the merchandise qualifies.
18. Consider the Kohl’s Card Based on Regular Shopping
Kohl’s Rewards members currently earn 7.5% Rewards on qualifying Kohl’s purchases when paying with a Kohl’s Card instead of the standard 5%. Cardholders also receive exclusive promotional offers during the year.
